El Royale Hotel - Near Universal Studios Hollywood

We had an excellent time using this hotel as our base.

Pros: Great Location, friendly accommodating staff. They lock the front gate at midnight which adds a measure of safety. 15 minute walk to the metro.

Cons: Rooms in the newer section were a bit drab and smaller, did not feel they were worthy of the rate, didn’t look the way most of the pictures indicated. They were happy to move us to one of the older rooms.

Top for money

Pros: Very, very comfortable place. 15 minutes walk to universal studios

Pros: The gardener has taken great care of the plants in the yard, the flowers are in full bloom. Car parking is quite convenient.

It was great staying there

Pros: Great Location, near the Universal studio. we took an Uber from the hotel to the park Great staff and service by Sean and Robert Comfy beds Clean and quite big room

Cons: We had an hot water problem in the shower, but after talking to Sean and Robert it got fixed

Xavier and the staff were excellent!

Pros: Great location for Universal and lots if cafes and shops in easy walking distance

Exceptional holiday

Pros: Excellent place, we were there for five nights room was spacious and very clean , Xavier at the reception very nice and kind man always there and helpful for anything we need. Location near universal studios and one metro station from walk of fame, groceries shops and restaurants few minutes walk. Free Parking and WiFi .

Pros: Location was great. 15 minute walk to shuttle up to Universal Studios. Good value for money

A Hollywood Classic

Pros: This place is an absolute gem—truly a rare find. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the entire space is spotless, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and pristine. The location couldn’t be better. But what really sets this place apart is the host—Robert is simply exceptional. His hospitality goes above and beyond, and he made us feel not just welcome, but genuinely at home. I’m already looking forward to my next stay. An easy five stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾

Pros: Super close to universal, 10-15min walk to the free universal shuttle Renewed room, super comfy bed, good tv, toilet is amusing (glass, bug shower head, spacious and good hot water) Super friendly staff Undercover carpark (included) for small/medium Suv Room was ample so good for luggage Not too noise even though is by a main road Good amount of amenities around, market, gas station, shop and restaurants Reno’s pizzaria up the road was reeeeeally good.

Pros: brilliant location for universal. bright welcoming room with flowers on the bed. lovely staff and friendly on arrival. good secure parking. toiletries provided. shower was amazing. brilliant stay. loved it.

Cons: ac was loud but seem to be the same in all motels weve stayed in.
