Good choice for a stopover

Pros: Clean, recently renovated room. Located directly on the street, but not overly noisy. A good choice for a short stay or stopover.

Cons: The price is rather high for a basic motel.

Pros: We got a free upgrade to a bigger room. There was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no noise despite that the motel is close to the main road.

Cons: The flower decoration in the bathroom was very dusty, as well as the area behind the bed.

Pros: I chose this motel because it was located near the pier, and I had to go to Channel Islands National Park the next day. I really liked the location as it was only about 10 minutes from the pier. The motel inside were very clean, and I especially loved the shower room. It was spotless. Check-in and check-out were also seamless. The parking lot was clean and well-organized, so it didn't feel like a sketchy motel, which made me feel safe.

Cons: I felt the staff was a bit unfriendly, but they weren't rude, so I didn't consider it a major downside.

Pros: My husband and I had a great one night stay at Crystal Lodge Motel. The staff were lovely and even gave us an upgrade to a bigger more spacious room. Location was also great, close to downtown as well as the beach. Would stay again.
