Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows

The Fairmont Miramar is a great luxury hotel with lots of great features and in close proximity to local attractions

Pros: The decor was fabulous, the bed was comfortable and the view of the Santa Monica pier was great. The massage at the day spa was incredible and the food at Soko Sushi was impeccable. We really appreciated the house car to drive us to Venice Beach, Dino is a great valet. We also enjoyed the bike hire to do some local sightseeing. All of the staff are amazing.

Cons: On one occasion the hot water took a few minutes to warm up so I ended up under a lukewarm shower on a cold morning which wasn’t a great experience.

Beautiful historic hotel in great location

Pros: Great location. Beautiful accommodation and friendly staff. Lovely Xmas decorations.

Cons: Room was a little noisy. Sound proofing on windows and room above would be great.

Pros: This is my fourth time staying at this hotel and I really enjoy coming back every time I go to Santa Monica.

Cons: What I didn't like was that the elevator was broken for a few days, and we had to use the service elevator for three days before they fixed it. And sometimes the housekeeping wouldn't come to clean the room unless I called them.

Pros: Lovely, Grand old hotel with great bars, cafe, room service. All the facilities and amenities you’d expect from a top quality property.

Pros: Room was comfortable. Staff were mostly good. Location is great.

Cons: They had overbooked so put us up in a different hotel for the first night. The other hotel was nice and they were apologetic, however it was the first night of our holiday with friends so we had to spend the first night away from them which was annoying, and it would have been good if they had let us know to go straight to the other hotel. Would have saved a lot of hassle and time with all our luggage.

An excellent, well-located hotel with great guest facilities. Nice place to unwind after a long flight from London.

Pros: The common areas and guest facilities were outstanding, including restaurants, coffee shop, shops and even a barber and hairdresser. The pool area was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout.

Cons: The room did have the ocean view we’d booked, which was great, but was smaller and less good than we’d expected.

Pros: Great spot by Ocean Ave. Hotel lobby and restaurant comfortable and well laid out. Excellent coffee shop with great staff and bagels! (off the menu so ask!)

Cons: The valet staff don't always give a warm welcome - especially if you arrive in an Uber. Better service for better cars. Odd that I'm wealthy but choose to use an Uber! Oh well - no service no tip. Big mistake (as Julia Roberts would say) Room was spacious bed comfortable but the chairs were horrific. Metal, hard, seriously uncomfortable. The ocean view is one of those where you have to position yourself on the balcony in a certain spot to see it. Yes it's a view. But not a great one. I had a premium room and expected better.

A tremendous experience at a world class hotel

Pros: Iconic; perfectly located with fabulous staff - from front desk to Juanita in the lobby bar - wonderful, friendly service

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Relaxing vacation with the family couldn't have been more spectacular!

Pros: This hotel was an epic stay at an iconic property. The vibe, beauty, location, and service was outstanding. We got upgraded to the Bungalows next to the pools and the kids and I had an amazing relaxing stay. I loved our stay and can't wait to visit soon!
