Great and confy stay in Santa Monica
Pros: Wonderfully situated, very close to the Santa Monica Pier area. A cozy, large room with a great kitchen in a quiet, charming Hotel. This was everything we were looking for and was a great base of operations for our 5 night trip to Los Angeles.

Wonderful place, so close to Santa Monica beach and pier.
Pros: What a find! Brilliant authentic retro property, so spacious and utterly charming. Also loved the courtyard pool and garden, complete with humming birds.

Pros: Excellent location, near the beach and downtown ( both 5 min walk). Large, clean suite, really comfortable bed.
Cons: Quite dated - however this kind of added to the charm!

Excellent place, lovely people.
Pros: The quiet inside the complex and the location close to the beach in Santa Monica. The courtyard garden and the hummingbirds.
Cons: Little bit noisy in the morning but probably the same in all of Santa Monica.

Beautiful place to stay in a very convenient and lovely location!
Pros: The property was so close to the beach, Santa Monica Pier, Third St Promenade and other shops and restaurants. It was so safe to walk around. My room was enormous, bed so comfortable, and very clean. The pool was nice too. Staff were so helpful and friendly.
Cons: I loved everything at the property

Comfortable, nostalgic and a great location.
Pros: I've been staying here for a number of years - normally at the beginning and end of my annual West Coast trip. The location is perfect - in a quiet residential area and just a couple of blocks from the ocean and one block from 3rd Street. As soon as you enter the premises you can tell that this was a 50s/60s apartment block. Very big and spotlessly clean rooms and friendly staff. The rooms are pretty dated and won't be to all tastes, but it's part of the charm for me. Parking is a very reasonable $25 a night.
Cons: Expensive for what it is (but that is only the case as a solo traveller), but Santa Monica is pretty expensive period. On my first stay of this trip my room was quiet and comfortable - helped in part by the carpeting. Upon returning, before heading home, my room had a solid wood floor which found a bit slippery. The room above must have been the same as I could hear every bit of movement.

We would definitely stay here again, room was very comfortable
Pros: We loved the location which was a short walk to oceanfront. It was a longer walk to the pier but it was fine
Cons: Only thing we didnโt like were the slatted vertical blind which didnโt really block out the light from pool area. At night
