The Hoxton

Pros: The food and cocktails are fantastic. The pool is a nice place to hang out and was mostly quiet during the day. Room and service was great. Couldn’t fault my stay.

Feel at home in DTLA

Pros: Everything!! We had rooms at The Proper and The Hoxton for a week and I found myself at The Hoxton for meals each day and hanging out more at the rooftop pool there. The staff were beyond amazing and inviting. They went above and beyond caring for us and particularly making my 4yr old son feel very welcome and at home. If you find yourself in DTLA you absolutely must stay here, best hotel in the area. It made our trip so memorable to meet the staff here. Thankyou to Daija and Don who my Son and my Mum made friends with, your kindness made our trip so special! The cafe staff were really lovely too and meals were amazing! Dinner is a must upstairs!! I’d say we’re pretty fussy about food coming from Melbourne but we loved every meal here.

Cons: I wasn’t looking forward to staying in DTLA, the area wouldn’t be my personal choice but we had commitments there. The Hoxton made this part of our trip the best and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed during the protests and we felt safe in the hotel. Streets are very quiet, not much to do in the area. But absolutely nothing bad to say about the hotel. It was PERFECT.

Luxe, beautifully fitted out hotel in DTLA - worth it for the price, so comfortable and cool!

Pros: It was such a beautiful hotel, the room was spacious and luxe, the bed comfortable and the shower was very big. ALSO, it had a kettle, which every other place I stayed didn't, so I was actually able to make tea properly, thank god. Great work whoever decided on that touch!! Loved the pool area and the Peruvian restaurant on the rooftop, I had such a good drink there! And the staff there and in the hotel were very kind and helpful to me.

Cons: The staff were so lovely and the facilities were well kept and nice to be in for the night - my only slight frustration was that part of me booking the Hoxton was that I liked that there was a rooftop pool and bar, but there was nothing to inform me that the bar was closed for a private event on the night I was there, and that the pool was apparently only open until sunset (when a night swim would've been nice, given that it had been too cold earlier!). If they made this clearer when you arrived or something, that would've been helpful. Also, given the price point, I was surprised the hotel didn't have any options for on-demand viewing or casting of streaming apps, although this seems to be common across the US. But all in all, great stay!

Cool vibes and comfy rooms

Pros: Great rooms, love the wood floors. Walk in shower was spacious and the water pressure from the rainwall showerhead was solid. Lobby area is a great place to hang and chill out. Moonlark Dinnette is adorable, very cute vibe and the breakfast quesadillas were amazing. Staff really friendly and professional, they seem geinune and love to engage in a chat which is really nice. Solid snack menu for purchase from the check in desk. Overall The Hoxton has a great vibe, it's comfy and although it's cool it's not pretentious. Very happy with my stay

Cons: The area a few block from the hotel is a bit sketchy. Definitely don't wander around, especially after dark. No issues with safety at the hotel though

Great value for money

Pros: Funky boutique hotel. Room spacious and bed comfortable. Great water pressure in shower

Cons: Not a lot in this neighbourhood but we did find some cute cafes

Nice little find

Pros: Decent location, generous with water and nice to have coffee and tea in the bedroom.

Cons: Pool area small and full of pretentious people taking up whole sofa and seating areas. Didn't feel relaxing.

Great hotel

Pros: Great hotel, room and bathroom. Facilities were fun and modern

Cons: Annoying not to have loungers up by the pool and the rooms maaaaybe had a touch too much furniture in them to make it comfortable - ie you smashed into an armchair coming through the door with a suitcase

As expected

Pros: Great bed, loved the decor throughout. Great shower and toiletries and a well thought out room. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room spacious and very clean.

Cons: Tea and coffee weren’t refreshed, restroom in lobby not very clean, location is a bit sketchy. Would be nice to have more options than Peruvian food seeing as going out after dark isn’t a fun option.

Pros: Great stay in LA. Super staff, ready to help and smiling ! Super breakfast !

Sorry we had to leave The Hoxton & wish our stay was longer

Pros: It was a lovely quirky high class hotel. Loved all the little extra touches like free water & milk in the fridge. Staff were excellent, always smiling & happy to help. The Hoxton is what a hotel should be. Felt at home the minute we stepped in. The rooftop pool & bar/restaurant are delightful.

Cons: Absolutely nothing. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. It’s perfect the way it is.
