Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Barstow

Pros: Brand new hotel, in a convenient position for a road trip from Nevada to California. Very professional staff, good and varied breakfast included.

Pros: Location off the main highway as it was a halfway stop!

Cons: Staff were ‘distracted’ but helpful when asked.

Superb loved this property a must if you choose to stay in Barstow near the Outlets.

Pros: Brand new, spotless clean, well appointed, great variety for breakfast. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Beautiful rooms.

Pros: This is a great new property so well laid out with the breakfast and bar area it was really enjoyable.

Cons: Nothing to not like it was as good as all the reviews I had read prior to my stay.

Pros: Almost everything was as I expected. You can tell that the hotel is quiet new, so it looks very clean and modern. The room was very comfortable and quiet. There is a big parking lot right in front of the hotel. The ladies at reception are very kind :)

Cons: The biggest thing that bothered me was the lack of any sustainability awareness. All was plastic, the plates and cups at breakfast, the cutlery, You had to throw everything away. This is also in the room. This really struck a nerve with me, probably it is to save money on someone washing dishes. For a hotel rated this high, this shouldnt be happening. The breakfast was ok. There is bagels, waffles, jam, yoghurt… But I think some ham, cheese, vegetables would be great. There was some fruit, but once eaten, it wasnt replaced. The pool was quite shallow, small, and dirty… I tried it, but I got out quite quickly… There seems to be a lack of personnel, as the pool obviously doesn’t get cleaned and they use exclusively disposable dishes…
