Sierra Pelona Motel

Pros: A great experience. It is a classic traditional motel, which has been preserved well. The location also makes it very convenient for people visiting LA.

best for movie scenes!

Pros: Troy for deadman #9! The show “lucky” must puck him for that role! The motel is a capsule of time of the 50's 60's. You will be in a movie set. Troy is a supernice host. Morning coffee was a nice treat.

Cons: i wish we could stayed more in this place. i would not touch the structure and the furnitures. They are as good as they are. Modernizing would kill the atmosphere. everything is clean and that is fair enough.

Pros: The most atmospheric Motel Ive ever stayed in, I kept expecting Tony Perkins to turn up 😂 Fabulous value and a very old fashioned room which was functional clean and the bed was comfy. TROY the manager needs to be filmed being slaughtered in one of the many films and shows filmed here , he really was a great character and we spent a while talking about Jazz and records .He dreams of being cast as a murder victim so let's make it happen Great stay and a fabulous restaurant 700 yards up the highway Damn grab your partner and get there its a hoot. THANK YOU TROY 👏👏👏🗡🗡

Cons: Sometimes I'm tripping about loud bangs from the neighbor's door.

Pros: Everything! Check in was a breeze, we were greeted warmly, and given the room we requested. Love this location❤️

Pros: Whether or not you like this place or I hate it one thing you have to say about it is that no matter what it draws your attention something right out of the dark pages of a Stephen King novel. This is the type of motel that you will find in roadhouse movies or movies like no country for old men the fear and loathing in Las Vegas is a good one that comes to mine. The place is great. The guy who runs it is even better. He’s very accommodating and seems to really care about the place. Unfortunately him and his wife are leaving soon for another adventure. I wish him luck And that all is well. I like this place so much. I even stated another two days as my business was not complete and just one day once again, Troy was very kind and gave and even gave me the same rate as the first day rug cable TV movies all night if you want And a heater that works and works very well when I come back to to Santa Grito I’ll be staying there again. I hope the next guy is just as good.

Cons: Perfect to me

Pros: If you prefer to be more secluded and away from the hubbub of hotels, fast food joints, and highways, this is the place to go. Not to mention a bit of nostalgia for good old fashioned motel property. The manager was quite kind, friendly, and accommodating.

Beautiful in the Pelona Mountains

Pros: The manager, Troy, was top notch. He really cares for his patrons. The property is right out of the 60s, and is a former and current movie set.

Good place for PCT Hikers

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was good for hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and it was quiet.

Pros: It had a very cute charm to it, not like your typical big hotel!!
