Travelodge by Wyndham LAX

Pros: I had one night stopover and slept for 11 hours. It was comfy and clean

Pros: The location is excellent, very close to the airport and perfect for backpackers or travelers with early flights. The free shuttle bus to/from the terminals is a huge convenience.

Cons: as it's near the airport, you can hear planes passing by, and it might get a bit noisy occasionally

Great location close to LAX airport & free shuttle transfer.

Pros: Location and cleanliness. The hotel was close to the airport & they provided a free shuttle transfer. Walking distance to restaurants & local bus.

Pros: It was very clean, cozy, and located at walkable distance from the coast. Included shuttle service was also useful to get from and back to the LA airport.

Pros: Close to airport location, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and facilities, good value for money.

Cons: Windows did not fully block outside noise.

Shuttle Shit Show

Pros: Close to airport and nearby takeaway and supermarket for food upon landing.

Cons: DON’T RELY ON THE SHUTTLE! One of the reasons of chose to stay here was the free shuttle. Using an international sim, I couldn’t call for pickup, so I contacted the hotel the day prior who suggested I messaged them when at the pickup location. I did! 25 mins later, and everyone else get tin on their shuttle, a non-specified white vans turns up for Travelodge. The driver was coincidentally on the way to another terminal and swung past, not because he was picking me up. So I jumped on. As soon as I did, I get a message reply, but only some generic one stating where to be for pickup which I already knew. Upon check-in, I expressed my frustration but it wasn’t listened too. I also enquired about the shuttle to the airport the next evening, and told to just rock up at the office. The next morning, I clarified the shuttle to the airport and had my name, room number and time taken down on paper (opposite to the night before). I organised for 7pm and told to be there 10 mins prior. Well, at 6:40pm, I was there! And so were many others. We waited until 7:25pm for the shuttle (which was some other random hotel). This is super poor shuttle service and I suggest you change it! I had a lovely stay and this will not have me return!

Pros: Josh, the manager was an absolute gent. Very welcoming for my first time in the US. He gave great recommendations for things to do in the area

Cons: The hotel could do with some updating. Some of the facilities are outdated

I'd recommend this site to anyone with an in-transit night close to LAX.

Pros: Shuttle service right to the frontdoor. Easy, well-lit hallway to my room. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept all night. The washroom was very clean with a modern shower and quick hot water.

Cons: I waited for the shuttle for a long time, with no response from the dispatcher. Once I knew someone was on the way, it didn't matter how long it took.

Price for value

Pros: I stayed for an overnight layover. I choose it because of the reasonable price and free shuttle service. Staff is friendly and efficient. Room is clean and spacious for a solo traveller with my needs. 24 hours free tea and coffee provided.

Cons: It became a bit noisy close to the main road. And yes, as other commented there is noise (air conditioning ?) is a bit loud to the ears if you're sensitive to noise at night.
