Seahorse Inn Manhattan Beach - LAX

A fairly inexpensive place with easy access to the beach

Pros: The Seahorse Inn is a reasonably priced hotel/motel, located just 15 mins walk through some nice neighbourhoods to Manhattan Beach, making it a good choice for those wishing to visit on a budget. The staff were helpful and polite, the room was pretty standard, functional, but needed a touch up here and there, and we enjoyed having somewhere where we could easily walk to Manhattan and Hermosa Beaches, which we loved, and enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area.

Cons: The place met our expectations, but we knew we were getting what we paid for. Being right above the office, there was a bit of road noise and beeping from morning traffic, the room was a bit tired with plug sockets hanging out of the walls, and the AC unit was helpful in warming up the room, but also quite loud to leave on overnight. Overall, it served our purposes.

Pros: Great location with a car. Free parking is a bonus and was a lovely safe, clean area. Staff were really nice and helpful too!

Cons: Not enough pillows on the bed and duvet was very light so got very cold at night.

Cons: minor grievance Internet can sometimes resets in middle of night so keep your password handy. Pool was closed but probably too cold anyway

Decent place to say for a weekend trip.

Pros: The location is located close to Manhattan Beach (approximately 5 min drive / half an hour or less from Santa Monica for reference) The rooms were clean and made for a great place to rest. Not far from shopping at a supermarket.

Cons: Nothing much that I can think of honestly. Unsure if there were access to a microwave to heat up food, if there was, I may have overlooked it.

Pros: Location, staff and price are excellent! Swimming pool and parking big bonus as well!

Convienient, friendly staff, value for money accomodation.

Pros: Friendly and accomodating staff - I arrived late and yet was greeted by a staff member. Easy access to stores nearby and not far from airport or beach. I had a newly restored room - very tastefully done.

Convenient, comfortable and satisfactory on all counts.

Pros: Well located in LA bayside & on bus route. Nearby access to a range of dinning experiences and a lengthy, but doable walk to the actual Manhattan beach with waves. Hilly walk uphill return from beach but lovely residential suburb short cuts off main roads. Access to coastal bus services and relatively close to LAX for international visitors - not wanting to stay near the LAX airport or further downtown.

Cons: Could have had some tea/coffee making facility in room or a coffee vending machine in lobby or near vending food annexe. A cheap analogue microwave would be useful - capital cost $50/room they are cheap now.

Clean modern and easy to reach, beautiful beach and great shops like Trader Joes nearby.

Pros: Room was just renovated to modern clean standards, Super comfy bed with new linens. Nice touches with the surfer on the blind which was fitted well and kept the daylight out. Slick modern bathroom and nicley fitted kitchen.

Cons: LA is a busy city and the roads are always busy so some noise can be heard, but that is beyond the control of the Seahorse and just indiciative of LA life.

Super satisfied!

Pros: Awesime newly upgraded king room minutes from Manhattan beacb pier ill be back with my partner soon! Super clean and comfortable rooms
