A Familiar 80's Treasure Continues in Monterey Park, CA.

Pros: A Continental breakfast is served daily from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. it is a tasty start for every guest that stays at the Garvey Inn (formerly The Comfort Inn). Who can remember this brand name economical brand based established in the early 1980's. This place still has its charm like visiting an older family member. The management and staff continue to keep the linen fresh and clean, the rooms are tidy and your requests are taken care of. It may not be The Four Seasons the Garvey Inn is still providing their guests with home style amenitiesa.

Cons: I stayed for 5 days and 3 of those days our refrigerator was out of order. It took a daily reminder to have it serviced ultimately it was replaced with a wine bottle refrigerator. Nonetheless, it kept the proper temperature. Our room didn't include a microwave. I overlooked that because there was a working microwave and toaster in the breakfast area . The continental breakfast served daily for two hours everyday is a nice addition for the guests without having to leave the building. It's included. Although the facade is worn in its original luster, furnishings are now outdated.

Excellent

Pros: Location was great and breakfast included was a plus. Could make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, coffee, toast, fruit. beds were comfy. Staff was very nice. We had an accident with tv remote n wanted to replace it but they said not to.

Cons: We asked for wash cloths twice. Had to use hand towels for showering. I think investing in wash cloths would be a plus.
