Our stay was fantastic. The hotel was well maintained and clean and the staff were fantastic and super helpf.

Surprisingly fun, safe and friendly place to stay. Would definitely book it again.

Pros: The hotel is a few blocks walk from the Walk of Fame and surprisingly quiet. Max who checked us in was funny and a delight to deal with as were all the staff we encountered on our 2 night stay. Our Queen double room was perfect for our flying visit to LA, comfy beds, good shower and fun decor. The pool is heated and was a life saver after a 20 hour trip from Australia. The attached Clark Street Diner is a mid century gem with great staff and food. We ended up having breakfast, lunch and dinner there during our stay and were never disappointed. Sadly we didn't make it to the Franklin Lounge for a drink but it looked full and vibing when we poked our heads in.

Cons: Our only issue was the fact the bathroom light was on a sensor and turned on full every time we used it during the night. We weren't sure if there was a way to turn it off but we just used sleep masks.

Wonderful stay

Great location, heated pool, easy check in and out, comfortable room.

Pros: Heated pool and the location is a great bonus of this hotel. The diner is very busy likely because it has a nice vibe. Food is authentic American. Room and the bathroom was a great size. Parking is valet and though at first it seemed overkill and a slow process, it worked out well.

Cons: Our room had no view, it was like a basement. Creating a small garden in front of the window making that space useful and pleasantwould be a good idea.

Overall good value!

Pros: Room with vintage unique style, quite clean and comfotable. Location good! Just a few minutes' drive to Unversal Studios. Staff is friendly with nice service.

Cons: No window can be opened in bathroom.

Stay here! Best place I’ve stayed on a budget in LA

Pros: It was very well considered at a great price. Boutique hotel feel without charging you too much for that vibe. I will honestly come back here every time I visit LA if it’s available!

Cons: Valet was a bit expensive if you put it to your room

Very good decision, close to Universal and Hollywood blvd

Pros: Great hotel, it's a motel-style architecture but feels like a nice hotel. Big rooms and very spacious. The room was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom seemed like it was recently refurbished. Nice staff and very helpful. You could even see the Hollywood sign from the shower (so nice views while getting cleaned). Good location, very close to Hollywood boulevard, we walked there. Very convenient to go to Universal Studios, we booked an Uber/cab as it was cheaper than the parking at Universal. Very good decision!

Cons: I know it's not that typical in the US, but we missed some breakfast included. However, there was a microwave in the room, and a coffee machine, among other things. It offered milk and coffee, so that was handy. Cost for parking was a little bit expensive, 38.5 USD per night, but it also included the Valet, which was handy.
