The Hollywood Roosevelt

Pros: The location was perfect for us. The building itself was stunning, beautiful old hollywood.

Cons: It was noisy on the street at night so for some that may have been challenging but for us it was no problem! The beauty of the building and its location more than made up for it.

Wish we had more time to stay longer!

Pros: Everything I was expecting and more! Great staff, including bellmen and valet.

Cons: Bed was a little uncomfortable for me.

Iconic venue in fantastic location. So much history. Stay not long enough.

Pros: The history and authenticity of decor was beautiful and so close to main attractions. Iconic venue and very private in a busy strip. Staff were very attentive.

A little slice of glamour & history in Hollywood!

Pros: We stayed for Christmas & loved the low key holiday vibe. Our room was gorgeous & very comfortable. The location was excellent - a little haven in the madness of Hollywood Boulevard. The lobby is beautiful & there is a wonderful feeling of all the history of the place. The hotel staff were warm & welcoming. Room service was excellent.

Cons: We arrived during a storm which was unfortunate & were staying over Christmas. A lot of the facilities were closed which was disappointing. Other than the pool, it was nothing to do with the storm & just the time of year. If you are thinking of staying over Winter, I would check what facilities will be open. There was only one restaurant open - the casual grill & the staff there were unfriendly. It didn't open until 9.30am so the only breakfast option was room service. I think if the pool was open, the pool cafe would have been the usual option.

An experience!

Pros: The room was huge and beautifully blends modern and vintage styles. The location is extremely convenient, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic.

Cons: The only downside was that the air conditioner in my room was quite loud.

Gives the exact vibes you need when around the jungle area

Pros: Super clean gym. Amazing artwork around the property. Best pool in the area. Great staff!

Cons: Small rooms and the location (but we knew those upfront)

10/10, my new favourite place, exceptional service and decor.

Pros: The location was amazing, so close to the walk of fame, La La Land souvenir shop, tcl Chinese theatre, madam Tussaud’s, in n out, ihop as well as a bus stop and metro station. The hotel was decorated beautifully, so old school Hollywood but felt fresh and new at the same time. The pool was a highlight, the most beautiful swim I’ve had in years; especially at golden hour. The view of the hotel and palm trees from in the water was breathtaking. Room was gorgeous as well, so nicely decorated with retro style orange furniture (my favourite colour), was very classy without being boring.

Cons: These are minor things, I still loved my stay. 1: the bed was very, very low, so if you have mobility issues or just have trouble getting up from a low bed, I’d avoid this hotel. But it may be different in other rooms. 2: No overhead lighting in my room. All the light came from lamps etc there was no bright ceiling light. I know some people prefer this, but I found it annoying. I need a bright light to wake me up and I don’t like being in a dull room. There was no natural light from outside because of a privacy screen. I went into the bathroom frequently just to enjoy the bright lights. But again, this hasn’t put me off, I’d gladly come again. 3: no laundry service. It would be so useful if there was a self service washer/dryer or housekeeping could take your clothes and wash them. You will have to find a laundromat if you wish to clean clothes here.

Sad to leave would have loved to of stayed longer!!

Pros: Cannot fault the Roosevelt, all staff were friendly and happy to help. The decor was spotless very modern yet a nod to the history. Would love to return!!

Beautiful historic hotel, fantastic central location, lovely memorable experience.

Pros: Location, decor,terrace bar and pool area all beautiful. The lobby and check in area was very underwhelming and was dark and felt underground a bit like a cave and not where you entered the hotel, it felt very awkward to locate. Room small but had everything we needed, lovely luxurious comfy beds, super view out onto Hollywood Boulevard and Hollywood Hills. We ate in the diner on the second evening which was delicious and really lovely helpful staff.

Cons: The floor around the poolside was surprisingly very dirty and our feet were black after standing with our shoes off, not at all what I expected, but the pool area otherwise was beautifully decorated and lit and lovely cocktail bar. Our window didn't shut so was quite noisy particularly at night but we expected it to be being right in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard and we slept like babies regardless .

Pros: This is our second stay here and it never disappoints. The location is great right in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard. Close to transport, food and activities. Really stunning hotel, rooms and very comfortable and large. The pool is perfect for relaxing and drinks. Would keep coming back!

Cons: The shower was luke warm with poor pressure
