Great location but not very good quality to price ratio

Pros: The hotel is located very good on the beach, we had two very nice balconies with a very nice view, confortable valet parking, nice decorated room

Cons: First of all, there was a gap between the balcony doors where cold air was coming in, and this was a problem because we happened to catch a cold spell, with nighttime temperatures dropping below 58 degrees. This is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. Then, breakfast was not included in the already very high room rate, and the restaurant was also serving outside customers for breakfast, which meant we had to sit at uncomfortable tables and wait quite a long time before we could order.

Luxurious hotel with attentive staff in a gorgeous location. Definitely recommend this hotel

Pros: Great customer service, every member of staff happy to help and appeared to enjoy their job. Room was spacious, with thoughtful extras like a candle in the bathroom. Bed and pillow extremely comfortable.

Pricey, but super classy hotel and well worth the extra spend

Pros: Loved, loved loved our stay at Shutters. Perfect location for santa monica attractions. Staff were superb. Room was spacious and well appointed with a fabulous view over the beach

Very nice stay, nice sun deck and pool. Very good sundeck bar and service.

Pros: Beautiful colonial style property right on the beach, fab rooms and bathrooms. Essential to get a balcony and avoid 7th floor where the windows are julienne so you can’t get outside, although the views are still good.

Cons: Restaurants could do with having a better menu. Lovely deck chairs out on the beach… would be nice to offer afternoon tea and cake out on that bit of beach.

Pleasant stay

Pros: Nicely located on the beach in Santa Monica. Overall a beautiful property with all the amenities. Staff was nice.

Cons: To get to our room, we had to walk through the pool area, literally in between sunbeds and right next to the pool. Value for money was not the greatest.

Beautiful seafront location with a breezy relaxed style. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: Beautiful seafront property, great location. Loved the free use of bikes which we cycled down to Venice beach. Within easy walking distance to Santa Monica Pier. Super lovely comfy beds and all and amenities that you could wish for.
