Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Bakersfield Central

Pros: Excellent breakfast, lots of choices. Very clean. Staff is courteous.

Cons: Next to Costco. Expect lots of traffic getting out of the hotel.

Ideal location for a stopover

Pros: We stayed at this hotel on our way to Yosemite (from Anaheim). Location was ideal for a stopover, the hotel accommodated my request for our rooms to be close to each other and they were clean and spacious. We had dinner at Hungry Hunter steakhouse which was a few minutes walk way so worked perfectly for us.

Pros: Evening staff at desk were kind, friendly, efficient and prompt. Outstanding service!

Convenient stopover.

Pros: Good location as we were only passing through, plenty of parking, 24hr desk. Bed was comfortable and shower hot and strong.

Cons: Breakfast was very basic, disposable plates and cutlery are disappointing, on many levels.

Pros: Lovely hotel in a gorgeous City. Friendly staff. Just a few minutes by car to downtown. We did our laundry in the locked guest laundry room. Everything went completely uncomplicated. 30 min. for washing, another 30 min. for drying. Got soap at the front desk. Continental Breakfast with Waffles and everything was good standard for America.

Cons: As Europeans, we would appreciate to get some vegetables at breakfast.

Pros: Very clean. Convenient location. Very friendly staff.

Pros: Easy to get to, just off highway. Great restaurant across the car park. Good decor and comfortable beds
