Budget Lodge San Bernardino

Nice room in a noisy location both locally and from nearby highway and airport.

Pros: A large room with a large bathroom that had no surfaces for putting my stuff apart from the towel rack. Overhead ceiling lights in the bedroom and bathroom, on a timer switch and movement sensor. Good air con. Reasonably clean, but with tatty décor. One socket had been updated to include usb sockets. A large screen TV . Good location for my visit.

Cons: TV with no guide for just under 100 available channels, no Syfy, HBO or ESPN. Just before 11pm a large passenger plane flew overhead, later I noticed that there was quite a bit of road noise from the highway, but also locally with a loud motorbike in the early hours of the morning. Other guests were a little noisy when returning after midnight too. Second night had no noticeable air traffic noise, but fireworks were let off in the grounds of the motel after 11pm.

Very convenient and worth the price.

Pros: The lady as the receptionist is so welcoming and super nice which gave me a good first impression. I liked how close it was to the NOS event center and how easy check in and check out was. I also very much appreciated the option of a later checkout, super convenient!

Cons: There is only 2 issues I had, 1 the room reeked like cigarettes and the furniture and couch had burns of cigarettes like if they put them out on the furniture. Also the key was “locked” twice therefore I wasn’t able to get in the room and the door also had issues locking on the way out to the event.

Ok

Pros: Unknown I paid for my food I was unaware I was supposed to get any breakfast

Cons: Transportation

Clean and spacious accommodations, helpful and non judgemental staff/ownership/managent.

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and roomy the room was. We stayed there for a night and I inadvertently overslept. The staff/owner/management was accommodated with a late checkout request. It was late at night but they were still accommodating with my repeated visits to the office to ask for various things like a plunger, etc. They even brought it up to the room!

Cons: Wish it was closer! I’d stay there more often.

Cockroaches

Pros: Ice machine, refrigerator and microwave. The bed and couch you can move for more space.

Cons: Cockroaches. Baby cockroaches living in the bathroom. Comes out of drainage holes to scavenge. Also, dead cockroaches are not swept from the floor. Our body towels were traded with the towel you'd put on the floor to step on when you get out of the showers. HDMI on tv was not accessible.

Pros: Checking in was easy. The room was very nice, clean and spacious.
