Pros: Beautiful authentic hotel. Friendly staff 😊. Good location)

Cons: It was uncomfortable to sleep because the mattress was sagging, as you can see in the photo.

Friendly, comfortable place just outside Big Bear

Pros: The (husband and wife?) managers were lovely, helpful people and did their best to overcome any language barriers. They had the place clean, cosy and comfortable — I can see how this would be so snug in the winter.

A perfectly relaxing weekend getaway

Pros: We loved this location! The room was quaint and cosy and the owners were attentive and helpful throughout the whole experience.

Super cozy with great heating and unique bathtub

Pros: It was the perfect cottage feel we were looking for, loved the heater in the room that was super effective and easy to use. Great water pressure, timely responses from the Host. They have a Smart TV with Netflix logged in.

Cons: The bed was on the less comfy side, rather narrow. The TV would need to be much bigger to watch comfortably from bed. No real complaints

Cozy nest

Pros: My room in the main house was very comfortable and beautifully rustic. Shared coffee/tea/snack facilities and seating areas were very welcoming, cozy and comfortable. Someone put a lot of thought into making this a special place to relax. Bedroom was good size with comfy bed and sizeable bathroom. Off road parking was great. Very good value for money during this off-peak month.

Cons: The road noise was quite high due to ill fitting and slightly open sash windows (that accommodated an air con unit). There is no obvious control/thermostat for the gas burner heating the room. Looked cute but not energy efficient as it is set up. I did struggle to find the entrance to the carpark. A sign at the main (rear) entrance would be helpful.

Overall great stay. Love the ease of the honor system.

Pros: Check in was simple and hassle free. The environment is very quaint and cute.

Cons: You can hear everything from the upstairs bedroom. Lots of stomping and the bathroom right above the bed can be heard all night long.

Pros: The lady shoveling the completely snowed-in driveway all by herself and who didn't speak a lick of English was very nice, and tried to show us where to park and where rooms were located. We then helped her with some of the shoveling since it's a lot for 1 person to do by herself.

Cons: There's no front desk to help you with check-in.

Good, but...

Pros: The cabin has a great location and our stay was very pleasant. We loved the fireplace, the distribution, the big bathroom and bathtub, the sofa bed, and the overall experience. It is very cozy and if we come back we would certainly rent it again.

Cons: They could improve the cleaning. The bathtub needed some serious scrubbing around the jets (I did it, before using it). It needs a bit more kitchen supplies (like a cooking spoon, a standard size pot, kitchen towel), there was a coffee maker but only 4 individual packs of instant coffee were provided (no tea, no ground coffee, we were three people), we never encountered anyone from staff to ask for those details. Lastly, the bed was super bouncy and not firm at all, but I think that's a personal like (we prefer a firmer mattress, so I guess that doesn't count much).
