Samesun Venice Beach Hotel & Hostel

Worth the money and it does the job, perfect location with friendly staff, couldn’t ask for more

Pros: Very close to the beach, nice bed areas with charging ports and a nightstand on the wall with curtains around the bed

Cons: Not very clean on the bathroom floors and the towels had marks on them

Love it here

Pros: This was my second time at this hostel and I love it. The staff are always great. I love grabbing some breakfast in the morning and eating on the beach ( a few steps away) watching surfing. The best location and a good price. Wifi works well and showers are great. You can also walk a few steps and watch some incredibly talented skateboarders. There's always something to see and watch. Big fan!

Pros: People clearing every day, so we see how much its cleaner everyday, and they are so kind, plus if you want you can have a new towel

Cons: just in the room for 8 people some guys shaved and never clean after, but it’s the game in the community life

Perfect location by Venice Beach, super friendly staff, and great atmosphere.

Pros: The location is perfect, right next to the Venice Beach Boardwalk and the skatepark. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel's overall vibe is fantastic. They also provide beach towels, yoga mats, beach chairs, and more for guests to borrow, which is a great touch. Definitely worth the money!

Cons: The lockers in the rooms could be a bit bigger. You can fit your valuables, but not much else. It can also get a little loud at night, though that’s part of the location's energy and atmosphere (in the hostel itself, quiet hours are respected, though).

Excellent location by the beach

Pros: Excellent location (lot happening during the day) and very friendly staff. The hostel is right besides the beach and a relatively easy connection from LAX airport by public transport too.

Cons: The area gets quite quiet after sunset. The choices for eating at a restaurant or outside the hostel are quite limited after sundown. Since the location is right besides the beach, Hollywood and other locations like downtown LA are a little far (1.5 to 2 hours), from a public transport perspective.

Pros: For the price the facilities were way above what I expected. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean. The location was handy as its right next to Venice beach.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that it was noisy at night.
