Good Shepard Homestay

Pros: Made me feel like home. Glad to have private parking in the back. The driveway is really narrow though, made it harder to get out. Lucky, I drove a compact car.

Cons: No instruction on how to check in when I arrived. I was waiting outside for around 20 minutes.

Perfect place to stay in LA, clean, modern and comfortable

Pros: It’s really nice place: clean, modern, comfortable. You also have kitchen and everything you need to cook. Rooms are modern exactly like on the photo. And the bed is comfortable.

Cons: You cab hear quiet good when people walk upstairs, and some other noises, but being honest, all people who stayed at the house were very quite. And it didn’t disturb at all.

Pros: Such a nice staff, cute, clean and modern design. Parking behind the building, kitchen for free use. Awesome stay

Great location, room, price, and host

Pros: We spent three nights there and enjoyed our short stay very much. It was a great place to relax after our long days. The bed was very comfortable. During our stay the area was very calm and quiet. The coffee maker in the shared kitchen was a big plus for us :D We also appreciated the wifi that worked really well! The hosts were very accommodating with our arrival and departure times and we could leave our bags there for a few hours after checkout since we had time to kill before heading to the airport. We thank the hosts for everything!

Cons: The reply time to some of our messages was quite long but since everything worked out in the end it didn't affect our stay negatively. Also something to consider if you don't have a car is that there isn't many food or grocery options on a walking distance. We didn't eat out in the area so can't say anything about it.

Comfortable stay

Pros: Nicely laid out property, there is 1 room on the ground floor and 2 upstairs with a shared kitchen/lounge area. Facilities were all clean, there is a dishwasher/washing machine/dryer, separate bathrooms. Jacob explained everything on arrival and was helpful throughout. There is a metro station about 10-15 minute walk away.

Cons: Not Jacob’s fault of course but the area the property is located isn’t the most glamorous. As long as you’re sensible and keep your wits about you it’s fine, but I wouldn’t walk around late at night. The price of the property reflects this though and is a fair compromise.

Great host in the heart of LA, close and accessible to most touristic attractions.

Pros: The property is located in a very convenient location, close to several buses and the E line that can take you everywhere around LA. The host, Jacob, is certainly one of the most helpful hosts I've ever seen - great top tips, honest, and keeps the property very well organised. My partner and I loved our stay there and would come up for sure.

Cons: Not sure there's something bad to say about the property, but it was sad to see the number of homeless people around LA, particularly in the neighbourhood. However, despite what one might think, the neighbourhood was quite safe, we walked around at night (9 pm ish) without any problems (and every time we planned to arrive later than this, Uber was fine).
